The English Language Library was started in 1998 by Genevieve and John Basto with a collection of large print and audio books or the benefit of English-speaking readers with vision difficulties. Regular books were soon added, and when the library outgrew the space set aside for it inside their home, John and Genny moved it into an outbuilding in their garden.
